A Cacophony of Commentary
No One Cares What You Think
I was on the subway in New York City when a girl insulted what I was wearing. I laughed and told her I was going to tell her the most important thing she will ever hear in her life. She snorted with derision and mockingly cupped her hand to her ear. I told her, “Nobody care what you think.” Other people on the subway car laughed. She started on some other thing she was thinking and I interrupted her. “No one cares what you think.” We did this several times. I did the same thing with another girl and she acutally ran and got her mom she was so upset. So I told the mother what I told her daughter. She looked shamefaced. “Tell her the truth. No one cares what she thinks.” That’s when she got down on one knee and had an earnest conversation with her child.
The military display that cracked the streets of Washington, D.C. yesterday with the weight of combat vehicles has given commenters everywhere something to cluck about. As usual, the commentary about the commentary, and further commentary on that, floods the communications zone better than any AI picture of Trump as Pope could.

On another substack, “horrible” “terrifying” “bone-chilling” are the artful one-word descriptions of a U.S. Senator being tackled by the FBI for talking at a press conference in a the comment section. After being attacked as a troll for pointing out the uselessness of their horror, I insulted the commenters once again with suggestions of useful things they could do besides electronically wringing their hands.
