Turn off your phone.
Go outside without your phone.
Sit in the sun without your phone.
Don’t answer your phone every time it rings.
I’ve started to walk around without my phone, and honestly it’s fine. I take my dog for a walk, hike on the nearby trails and read on the rooftop deck of my building almost every day without my phone.
There is rarely any need to respond to someone right away. It’s true! Think about it. How often do you find out something that requires an immediate response? Almost never.
If I have an activity planned, I just do that activity. Like writing. Or reading a book for an hour. It doesn’t need to be interrupted for one of the many spam calls I get in a day. Afterwards, I can read the latest emails or see who phoned me.
