Is It a Balancing Act?
Elon Musk’s threats to bring pure speech back to Twitter is causing panic among the blue-check elite of Twitter. What was all that woke shaming for, if not to cast people out of the proverbial town square?
On the other hand, rabid Nazis have used Twitter to spit out hate and attract like minds. This doesn’t sound like a good idea, either.
Maybe all extremes are wrong. The Chinese Communist Party drew the censorship line where people were criticizing them. Democrats placed it where fewer people would get riled up about Hunter Biden. Republicans try to censor based on ideas - and they are never successful.
Chris Hedges is an amazing journalist who was banned from the New York Times and other prominent media outlets for his criticism of the Iraq War.
