Gabby Petito

Gabby Petito was found dead after the wide participation of social media leaders in getting clues and pressuring law enforcement into action. Review of available video and audio recordings indicates a violent relationship, with Ms. Petito fitting the profile of an abused partner: blaming herself for the conflict and emotionally breaking down before the police, who found her after eyewitnesses reports telling of her getting hit by her boyfriend.

So far, The Tell has focused on cults. The same psychological framework is at work in abusive relationships, too. For now, we are addressing “Missing White Blonde Lady Syndrome” in a separate post.

The process is:

  1. Lovebombing

  2. Time suck

  3. Isolation

  4. Reveal.
