Nature kills

Lori McClintock, the wife of U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock, died last year after ingesting a white mulberry leaf, a plant that is generally considered safe.

I can’t tell you how many times people have recommended some ‘natural’ cure to me. A root extract that will kill roaches. Dried flower leaves that cure sore throats. All supposedly better because of being natural.

Poison ivy is also natural. #justsaying I like to mention this to people if they are getting on my nerves about this “natural is better” stuff. Also, Hitler was a vegetarian. That’s another one I like to pull out at parties. (I’m so popular!)
