Behold, my Christmas tree! It is a CVS special that leans to the side from the beautiful glass ornaments on it.
The holidays are often a time where people feel stressed and awful, and it’s no wonder. Our minds are filled with pictures of what it should look like: large trees with lights and ornaments, ribbons or string of popcorn, cards from friends, outside decorations, inside decorations, Christmas cookies, travel, lots of presents and huge family meals.
But once again, we are letting passive persuasion tell us we are doing things wrong. No one tells us we need all that for a happy Christmas. It is just shown in the background of every t.v. show and commercial as a given. We are being handed a to-do list every year that is honestly too much for anyone.
