Lack of Trust in U.S. Healthcare System
The true problem is a lack of trust.
The American business of medical care rewards doctors for short visits with many patients per hour. The olden days of developing trust by talking to a patient and listening for what they are not saying are over. When that trust is needed in an emergency, we find it has been cut to save money.
The singular issue in this entire Joe Rogan struggle, because that's what it is, a power struggle, skips over the truly problematic fact that twenty-five percent of Americans have no primary care physician. No physician knows their medical history or has an established record of trust with the patient.
