On Personal Power
It’s been a rough week. Staying in the space between stimulus and response has let me reflect on my life’s goals for this summer, which includes dusting off an old novel I wrote for NANARIMO twenty years ago.
It gets so confusing because we are fed ideas of what we are supposed to want and what our goals are supposed to be. Staying in the space allowed me to see what to put into my life. (I might take tap dancing lessons.) It allowed me to feel what would work for me in the reality we live in now.
What comes up for you when you take space between stimulus and response? What is that thing our culture tells you is supposed to be a goal, but you don’t really want it?
