The Problem With Dr. Oz

I guess we should have expected this. Another merchant of alternative facts, smarter than Trump, more presentable, and equally prepared to be in government.

Let me offer a few guesses about what will happen:

  1. The U.S. press, still guilt-ridden over Trump, will find every crazy thing Dr. Oz has ever promoted and make fun of it,

  2. None of it will matter.

Slate writer Kurt Anderson blames Oprah for the current popularity of fact-free thinking. He also blames her for introducing Dr. Oz, anti-vax Jenny McCarthy and Deepak Chopra. Kurt Anderson, in his book “Fantasyland - How America Went Haywire: A 500-Year History,” explains
