This Is The Face That Will Destroy AI
We’re taking a little detour here into the faults of AI - again. The above photo of me is a true, unfiltered, unadorned look at my face at 7:53 p.m. on March 24th, 2024.
Now let’s look at what Microsoft’s AI image-generator creates for my name, which it is not supposed to do, by the way, for privacy reasons.
A young woman (thanks AI!) with messy hair, in a maker’s lab, in front of a laptop, grinning in a T-shirt and plaid button-down shirt. Not too far off, as far as word associations with my name goes: ham radio, computers. It ignores the legal words associated with my name online. The second photo has weirdly long fingers, though. But I actually went over a year without combing my hair one time. My husband still loved me.
