Those Scientific Method Bastards
I’m a little dubious of the scientific method because its adherents tend to dismiss anything that can’t be quantified or dissected. Put more plainly, they put immense faith in their five senses and their ability to count. The idea that there may be more in the universe than they perceive can’t even be imagined. Or maybe it scares them.
I Hereby Give You Luck!
You see, by virtue of getting this note in your e-mail, you are destined for a lucky day. Believe me! Your anxiety will be lowered, you will be more persistent and your confidence will SOAR!!!
Believing, in itself, gives you extra powers.
This is where we get into an interesting conundrum: these scientific method folks will say that this luck bestowed upon you is not real. Luck cannot be measured, its origin cannot be tracked, it cannot be dissected. So they say it doesn’t exist - except in your mind.
