Alex Jones uses “fear up1,” which is an interrogation technique meant to scare you into certain actions.
From the psychological standpoint, fear can be an effective motivator, but, to use it in interrogation, the interrogator must offer a direction that allows the subject to avoid the feared outcome. Otherwise, fear alone can lead to denial, increased defensiveness, and an inability to think about the subject at all.
Below, I’m going to reproduce part of a random broadcast from Alex Jones and show how the “fear up” technique is used to connect a series of factoids to encourage the audience to fear environmentalism.
