Conspiracy

We shall clarify the working definition of conspiracy theory here as … “an effort to explain some event or practice by reference to the machinations of powerful people, who attempt to conceal their role (at least until their aims are accomplished)”. 1

Some Conspiracies Are Real

You have only to ask Julius Caesar if conspiracies are real. A modern, real conspiracy was Chris Christie shutting down a bridge to New Jersey as politcal payback to a mayor who wouldn’t endorse him. So as a baseline, we can say that conspiracies exist.

Conspiracies are real, bra.

Below is a chart of real conspiracies as analyzed by David Robert Grimes in his research:

  1. NSA Prism project,

  2. Tuskegee syphilis experiment,

  3. the FBI forensics scandal.

The longest-lasting was 25 years. It is important to note that most of that time was before the Information Age, characterized as post

social media. The other two were six years.
